Reviews
I have read the 1st of the five books in the Johns Catalogue Raisonne, published separately as "Re-Do an Eye". Roberta Bernstein, a long-time art writer, observer, and close colleague of the artist has created a wonderful account of Johns' work; his thinking, approach to materials, his impact on artists and the world of art. It is a stunning achievement with wonderful insights into the artist in plain English vs.art-speak.
